Justice Olayinka Tokode of the Federal High Court, Benin Division, on Tuesday purchased that a person OkekeIfeanyichukwu be remanded in jail custody, for supposedly selling fake, ended and prohibited drugs.

The National Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC)’s? prosecutor, Barrister Bartholomew Simon, listed the fake banned drugs found in the possession of the suspect to include Lisinopril 10mg (Antihypertensive) tables, Penis Enlargement pills, Tegretol 200mg tables, Salbutamol 2mg tables, Felxican 20mg pills (piroxicam capsules), and Admdol 100mg(Tramadol) Gelules B. PIUS.
Others are NemelNemeclox, (Ampicillin and Cloxacllin) pills, Buscom 10mg (Antis Pasmodic) tables, Tradmadol 200mg tablets and Atenolol 50mg film covered (Anit hypertensive) tables
According to the NAFDAC prosecutor, the offence which was committed on March 11, 2016, at No 32, Warake Road, Auchi, contravened counterfeit and phony drugs and unwholesome processed foods (miscellaneous arrangements) Act Cap C 34 London 2004 and punishable under Section 3(1) (a) of the exact same Act.
The accused however pleaded not guilty to the 8 count-charge of property and sales of fake expired and banned drugs.
The presiding judge, Justice OlayinkaTokode, however dismissed the oral bail application by the Defense Counsel, Mr. RazakEtselalumhe
